Crafting a New Adventure

  1. Congrats to both of you on your new adventure! Chicago is an incredible city (albeit much colder than Dallas – you’ll befriend North Face as well as Kraft products no doubt). It is amazing how life works and brings us new opportunities that we never could have imagined. A true testament to the American, Puritanical dream that if you work hard, good things will result 🙂

  2. Congratulations. You guys will love Evanston and the Chicago area. Think of all the new foodie places you get to explore. Kelly, don’t worry about the winters. In the four years I lived in Evanston the coldest it got was only -75 (with wind chill). Have fun guys!!!!!

  3. Congratulations on your new adventure together! I’m so proud of you both because you are such a good team. Love Elaine/Mom

  4. Sound like you two have good no problem making new friends. I know Dan came from good stock and what could be with a girl from Texas.

  5. Congratulations! I’ve been a reader for some time now and have enjoyed your blog. We’ve made the Spooky Gumbo, Pit Beef and Olive Oil Baked Shrimp. All awesome.

Welcome to the Midwest! We’re between Milwaukee and Madison.

Fortunately, you’ll have another great horse track to visit with Arlington Park close by.

This announcement might make watching this weekend’s Bears @ Steelers game a bit more interesting for you.

    Good luck with your move.
